Should Shibians care for other tokens?
Ever since Shiba Inu has come into existence, I've seen the floodgate being opened and a multitude of other 'Inus' begin to pour in, all claiming to be that '1000xGem” or this “BSC Gem”, but without any solid fundamentals or utility to speak of.
And quite frankly they all crack me up with their shady advertisements and zero-effort marketing.
But by and large, in this competitive crypto market where most (or at least some) coins/tokens do have some utility to offer after all, the answer to whether the Shibians should care for other coins is probably equal parts yes and no.
Why yes?
Perhaps the strongest asset that Shiba Inu currently has in its arsenal is its community. The Shiba community is the most versatile and dedicated group of people (and sometimes their pets too) that I've ever encountered. On the inside, it’s a veritable beehive of daily activity by the peeps who are unapologetically persistent about the token.
It's fantastic, really, to witness a group of people come together and give rise to what in just a few short years has managed to claim a seat in the top 20 crypto by market cap.
But to give Shiba Inu a long term perspective we, the community, must work towards adding utility to it. Oftentimes, reflecting on other coins may provide valuable lessons. Quite a cliche thing to say these days, but true to its core in all aspects. I, for one, would love to see NFTs or DAO native to Shiba Inu, or perhaps even a properly organized Shiba e-marketplace, for which we can derive inspiration from other coins. These things are already happening on a smaller scale - I saw someone buying Discord Nitro with Shiba Inu and someone else buying a t-shirt. Pretty cool, really. But organized Shiba features and utilities (organized by the community) would really uplift the motivation to buy the token and establish a bright future for SHIB.
Why no?
But at the same time, everyone playing at the Shib table absolutely needs to move away from the 'Doge Killer' image and frankly, stop caring so much for other coins. I’m talking about all that “XRP or SHIB” kind of nonsense. At this point, it’s no longer about Shiba vs <paste the word>. That kind of thinking should be left alone where it belongs - at a cemetery. It's about how the community can promote and strengthen the token and create a Shiba World for the future.
I remember when the token got listed on WazirX in India, people went berserk, paying over a 10000x premium on the market price to get a hold on Shiba Inu. That’s how the Shiba Craze is made. And we must keep up that kind of craze.
We must 'Make Shiba Over and Over Again'.
