Weekly Shibanalysis. April 10-16, 2022

Hola, Shibsters! Hope you’re holding up alright. It’s time to grace your eyes with a look at our weekly Shibanalysis - reviewing April 10-16, and focusing on only the most important to an average Shiba fan data.

Note that we’re not in the business of looking into the crystal ball. That said, sorry to wreck your hopes we might predict the day you’ll wake up a millionaire.

So, what has Shib been up to this week?

Price

Shib has had an absolutely wild ride this week, not with the best of weekends.

Sunday-Monday (April 10-11) did their best to keep the token’s price within the $0.000024 zone. Mondays always try to keep the player down.

However, little did that puny little Monday know, Shib was poised for a huge leap forward just two days later. On April 12, the token floored the gas, racing its way up to $0.000030, leaving its  Monday position well behind, eating dust.

Apparently, evil forces were at play, as Shib didn’t manage to keep up with the uptrend and came tumbling down the hill to a stop at $0.000026 where it remained at least until Saturday, April 16.

Still, that’s an 8% gain compared to Monday. We can all sleep well tonight.

Market Cap

The big push forward that took place on the 12th of April and ramped the token’s price up to $0.000030 has also seen Shib’s market cap hit an astounding 17 billion, shoving Shiba Inu up the ranks just between the 13th and 14th positions, and giving Dogecoin enough reason for a heart attack, again, if only for a fleeting moment.

As Shib’s price failed to defend position and slipped back down past $0.000026 (Apr 13) so did its market cap have to drop a few notches, ultimately occupying the 15th position.

At the time of writing this, Shib’s Market Cap is hovering around $14-15 billion due to volatility and is still #15 on the list of Crypto by Market Cap.

HoDlers

As of today, there are at least 1,131,287 active addresses holding Shiba Inu. That’s a slight decrease from the 1,155,000 hodlers the token could boast back in late March.

However, it by no means should indicate that Shib is losing its army. People come and go, so do the two-week holders hoping to make a quick million, and ultimately failing.

The true fans of Shiba Inu are hodling and they are still over one million strong!

Burned tokens

Shib burns don’t stop for a day. That said, there’s been over 700 million tokens burned over the past week, not counting the baby burns that only take hundreds of thousands of tokens out of supply at a time. Still, every bit helps.

The fattest burn occurred on April 15 and destroyed over 328 million Shibs worth about $8,385 at the time! You know crazy times have arrived when you see people literally burn money.

And that’s the weekly closure for Shiba Inu. We’ll keep a sharp eye out on the token’s progress. In the meantime, make sure to smash down on that Like button. Thanks!

Keep your gaze on the stars,
