Shiba Inu team delivers fresh updates on SHIB the Metaverse
The Shiba Inu team has been working on its “SHIB The Metaverse” project for quite some time now. Recently, ShibaSwap released an update about the new developments in the SHIB metaverse. Let's see what it's all about.
Hold your horses, bro! First, tell me what is this "SHIB the Metaverse" anyway?
According to the official SHIB the Metaverse website, the project is the virtual display of Shiba Inu’s history as a community. The SHIB metaverse is designed to showcase the innovation within the community using great visuals. Add to that, it presents a unique opportunity for the SHIB community to pocket some passive income by buying land and gathering in-game resources.
Moreover, this project will constitute an important part of the Shiba Inu ecosystem since it brings all the Shiba Inu tokens ($SHIB, $LEASH, $BONE, and $SHIBOSHIS) together in a single world. Furthermore, The SHIB universe will likely result in significant “partnershibs” between Shiba Inu and powerful players and studios in the metaverse and NFT industry. Pretty cool, don't you think?

Many influential figures and entities are working on the SHIB The Metaverse project. Namely, we have Shiba Inu team members: Shytoshi Kusama, Kaal Dhairya, Penny, the AAA Studio: THE THIRD FLOOR, and Metaverse experts and advisors: Marcie Jastrow, Sherri Cuono, and David Kern.
The Shiba Inu team aims to involve the SHIB community along with the devs, advisors, and the AAA studio to deliver the best Shiba Inu immersive experience.
How do I interact with this thing?
As a SHIB community member, you can gain exposure to the SHIB universe by buying lands from this portal. As the website states:
“There’s a total of 100,595 lands that will be unlocked over time. During the first introductory phase, 36,431 lands will be revealed and just 32,124 will be available for purchase.”
In order to buy lands, you will need to install Metamask from its website, and buy $LEASH or $SHIBOSHIS. You can buy $LEASH from this portal, and then you need to send it to your Metamask wallet. Next, you’ll need to lock your Leash holdings by connecting your Metamask and using the $LEASH and $SHIBOSHIS locker.
Finally, all you need to do is to wait until the Bid and Holders events are over before having complete access to your lands. For instance, you can mint your newly acquired lands from the portal.
SSo far so good! So, what are those updates you promised earlier?
In their latest blog post, the SHIB team shared that they are currently working on the WAGMI Temple Hub alongside THE THIRD FLOOR studio. This temple is considered a “Zen-like” realm with spiritual sensations, great natural surroundings, and will be a great spot to “meditate” in this universe.
This temple is inspired from real architectural sites including: Byodo-In Temple, Temple of Heaven, and Nan Hua Temple (Bronkhorstspruit, South Africa.)
Add to that, there are Florea insprations such as Sakura Trees, Cherry Blossoms (Japan), Flame trees (Vietnam), and and Ginkgo trees (South Korea.)
There will also be Fauna inspirations like: the Giant Panda, Tiger, Asiatic Lion, and Snow Leopard.
Finally, shibians can enjoy a VR experience and learn stories from the community that will be written on the walls, and as always, the good ol’ charitable causes that they can contribute to.
